Tuberculosis (TB) is an airbone spread illness that typically affects the respiratory system. Over 95% of TB deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries, and it is among the top 5 causes of death for women aged 15 to 44. Symptoms of active TB include a prolonged cough (3 or more weeks), chest pain, coughing up blood, weakness, weight less, loss of appetite, chills, fever, and night sweats. Alternatively, latent TB shows and feels no symptoms. Tuberculosis can be identified by a skin test or TB blood test. Treatment includes taking several drugs for 6 to 12 months with strict guidelines.
